Fog of War Diplomacy
Core game
Use the standard seven-player Diplomacy map, Spring 1901 setup, simultaneous-order adjudication, retreat and adjustment sequence, home-center build rules, and 18-supply-center solo victory condition. Fog changes the information available to players; it does not change movement, support, convoy, combat, ownership, or victory rules.
Your intelligence
You can see:
- every province containing one of your units, plus every province bordering it; and
- every supply center you control, whether occupied or vacant, plus every province bordering it.
Units and controlled supply centers are both observation posts with a range of one border. Their fields of view combine; visibility does not continue outward from a province that is visible only because it borders an observation post.
Within a visible province, the current unit and supply-center owner are shown. Units and ownership beyond your intelligence boundary remain hidden. A spectator receives no private board intelligence.
Blind orders
You may enter movement, support, convoy, retreat, build, waive, and disband orders using the information available to you. Order entry does not confirm whether a hidden province is occupied, whether a hidden convoy chain exists, whether a retreat destination was contested, or where an unseen attack originated.
The complete authoritative position adjudicates every order. A syntactically legal blind order can therefore fail or have no effect because of information you could not see.
No information leaks
There is no phase order history, center-count history, adjudication outcome list, or replay snapshot. Other powers' submitted/ready status is classified because it can reveal hidden retreats, destroyed units, or adjustment obligations.
Private messages remain visible only to their sender and recipient. Table membership and online presence remain social information.
