MyTurnYet uses first-party cookies for sign-in, account security and requested game features. Anonymous LexiTurn play has a separate recovery cookie so you can return after restarting your browser.
Summary
We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioural profiling, session replay, cross-site tracking, or selling or sharing information about your browsing activity.
Functional cookies are used when you request the feature they support. We do not ask you to accept it and do not display a cookie consent banner.
Sign-in and LexiTurn recovery cookies
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Information stored | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__Secure-mty_session |
MyTurnYet | Recognises your browser after you sign in, keeps you signed in across browser restarts, protects your account, and supports email, Google, and passkey authentication. | A randomly generated, opaque session identifier. The cookie does not contain your name, email address, password, passkey, messages, game data, or other account content. | The cookie lasts up to 30 days and may be renewed while you use the service. The server limits a session to 90 days in total. Signing out ends the session. |
__Host-mty_lexiturn |
MyTurnYet | Reopens an anonymous LexiTurn run after a page refresh or browser restart, without creating an account. | A randomly generated recovery identifier. The server stores only its hash and links to eligible runs. It does not grant account access. | Up to 30 days after a run is started or recovery is enabled for an older run. Expiry is checked by the server. Signing out clears the recovery cookie presented to that MyTurnYet host. |
These are first-party cookies, set by MyTurnYet rather than an advertising or analytics provider.
Both cookies use Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Path=/. The LexiTurn cookie has no Domain attribute and stays on the host where you play. Sign-in can be shared across MyTurnYet hosts. Page JavaScript cannot read these cookies.
Why consent is not requested
Swedish cookie rules allow cookies to be used without consent when they are necessary to provide a service that the user has expressly requested.
The MyTurnYet session cookie is necessary to sign users in, maintain authenticated sessions, and provide access to protected account functionality. There are no optional cookie categories to accept, reject, or configure.
Authentication methods
Email, Google, and passkey sign-in all create the same MyTurnYet session cookie after successful authentication.
When you choose Continue with Google, you are redirected to or otherwise interact with Google's authentication service. Google may use cookies on its own websites as part of authenticating your Google account. Cookies used by Google on Google's domains are controlled by Google rather than by MyTurnYet.
A passkey is not a MyTurnYet cookie. Your passkey's private key is managed by your device, browser, or password manager and is not sent to MyTurnYet.
Analytics and similar technologies
The production site may load Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic site traffic and page performance. MyTurnYet does not use Cloudflare Web Analytics to set advertising cookies, identify individual users, or track you across other sites.
If MyTurnYet introduces analytics, advertising, or another non-essential cookie purpose in the future, the relevant technology will not be activated until any legally required consent has been obtained.
Server logs
Like most online services, MyTurnYet processes technical request and security information on its servers. Server-side logs are not cookies because they are not stored on or retrieved from your browser or device.
Information about server logs and personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete or block MyTurnYet cookies through your browser settings.
Deleting the sign-in cookie signs you out. Deleting the LexiTurn recovery cookie can prevent an anonymous run from reopening after a browser restart. An open tab may still retain its separate run credential. If recovery cookies are blocked, keep the tab open until you post your score. Rush’s clock continues while the page or browser is closed.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the cookies or similar technologies used by MyTurnYet change.
